Erika and Scott Everly

What a day, what a day, what a day. This was a wedding I was very much looking forward to, and it didn’t disappoint. Mother Nature played a role in this Cape May wedding, but such a wonderful event with two very wonderful people. Take a look at some of the highlights of the day.

When you shoot so many weddings, you’d think there was nothing that as a videographer, I haven’t seen. Truth be told, I’ve seen bridal party members switch clothes for introductions, or for that matter, a first look. However at this wedding, seeing Carson leaving those perfect black socks on, really left a fashion statement. Is it a fashion statement that will hold? Only time will tell.

Is there a wedding since the 80’s that hasn’t featured something by Whitney Houston? I think not. But this may be the only wedding where a can of High Noon is used as a microphone to sing/lip sync Whitney.

Raise your hand if you love the movie “Bridesmaids.” Ok, hands down, as I’ve never seen it. Apparently Lindsey and Erika are huge fans of this 2011 movie, and more so, the Wilson Phillips song “Hold On,” which is featured. I remember when that song was released to the public, and not as a piece of music in a movie. Does that make me old? Regardless, this was a great moment while hair and makeup were being finished.

Such a wonderful day this really was. I felt like family as soon as I walked in the door. I want to say a heartfelt congratulations to Scott and Erika. Best Wishes on a happy marriage.
