As Summer has come to a close there was no better way to spend the day than shooting a spectacular wedding with Dakota and Rachel. The only thing missing from this day was some Glenn Frey singing “The Heat is On!” Temperatures reached the upper 80’s, but at no point did the heat put a damper on this day. The fabulous Barn Swallow Farm was the backdrop to this day and with Dakota and Rachel, it played in to the picturesque moments in this trailer. Check it out.
To make a long story short, I was told by Dakota’s stepdad to keep him off camera, and if I did he’d pay me double. No can do my friends, as this first look truly melted my heart, and made me laugh.
Wearing a set of headphones can be at times problematic as I miss other sounds around me, but if I didn’t have them on would I have heard this moment that was too special not to share?
I’ll openly admit that I’m not a fan of most music played on dance floors across the many weddings I shoot. I however love when folks get animated and of sing-a-long to whatever is playing for their party. DJ Jimbo could have played whatever and these girls were going to find a lyric to participate with.
I’m so thankful to work with such wonderful people all around. From the awesome venue, DJ, and this special couple, I’m more than blessed to do what I do. This was a perfect way to end the Summer. Congrats to Dakota and Rachel.
