I love shooting weddings! And I absolutely love this couple that I had the pleasure to spend the day with on Saturday!!! Rob and Catherine came to Your Day Productions with only a few weeks before their wedding to spare. I’m so thankful they found us. What can I say about how wonderful their wedding day was? Well to start, I met Rob and his gents when they arrived at the elegant and picturesque John James Audobon Bird Sanctuary. Upon greeting them one of the groomsmen immediately questioned my own Otter Box phone case. Long story short, it’s never to late to teach an old dog new tricks, or in this case teaching a grown man how to remove his phone from the belt clip. I only wish I had that moment on camera, as it was truly hilarious. Take a look at some highlights from this unbelievable wedding.
I’ve gotta give some serious praise to Tim from Tim Scott Spencer Studios. I’ve worked with him one other time, and he is such a blast to be around. With such an amazing cast of characters at this wedding Tim was in complete control of getting some amazing photos.
There are inherently some fun moments with every wedding, and most everyone knows that you never talk politics and or religion at one of these events. Catherine’s dad eluded to that in his toast, but couldn’t resist. Check out the moment.
I’m sure I’m not the only videographer that pays such attention to the sound from the toasts that are given. But thank goodness for my mono-pod, as I probably would have fallen over laughing with this marital advice given from a seasoned veteran. Truly a hilarious moment that I won’t soon forget, or as Rob said “I’ve got a bone to pick with you!”
Overall this wedding will be very hard to top. From Rob labeling himself as “The Talent,” to all the funny moments and just an amazing couple, I’ve found myself over these last two days reliving such fond memories of this wedding. I’ve gotta give some love to Susan from Journey’s of the Heart, as she ran a spectacular ceremony, and 3 Way Street Sound kept all the guests moving all night. What a wonderful day, and a heartfelt congratulations to Rob and Catherine as they embark on a lifetime of love and happiness.
